A Stormy Voyage

Azhagum Ponnu, a young boy, and his mother, Ammu, were on a ship, sailing across the vast ocean. They were on their way to visit their relatives in the United States. But, fate had other plans. A sudden storm hit the ship, and it capsized, leaving only Azhagum Ponnu and Ammu alive. As they clung to a piece of wreckage, they watched in horror as the ship sank, taking everyone else with it. The two were left alone, adrift in the middle of the sea. After what seemed like an eternity, they spotted a small island on the horizon. Exhausted and traumatized, they made it to the shore, only to find that they were completely alone. The island was untouched, with dense forests, sandy beaches, and crystal-clear waters. But, as the days turned into weeks, reality set in – they were stranded, with no way to communicate with the outside world, and no hope of rescue. Azhagum Ponnu, a vegetarian, and his mother, Ammu, struggled to find food and shelter. Initially, they survived on coconuts, fruits, and vegetables. But, as the months passed, they began to feel the pangs of hunger. One day, Ammu, a strong-willed woman, suggested they hunt for meat to supplement their diet. Azhagum Ponnu was hesitant at first, but eventually agreed. As they adapted to their new life, they built a small hut, and Ammu taught Azhagum Ponnu how to fish and hunt. They started to find a sense of purpose and belonging on the island. Despite the challenges, they found joy in each other's company, and their bond grew stronger. And so, they lived on, a testament to the power of love and resilience, until their eventual passing, surrounded by the beauty of the island they had called home.
