A Soothing Escape
I stepped into the warm bathwater, feeling the stress of the day melt away. My mom was already seated on the edge of the tub, her eyes closed as she let out a contented sigh. I couldn't help but smile as I remembered all the times we had shared this special ritual together. As I began to wash my hair, my mom opened her eyes and smiled at me. \Remember that time we went to the beach and got caught in the rain?\ she asked, her voice dripping with nostalgia. I giggled as I thought back to the day, when we had to run for shelter under a big umbrella, laughing and shrieking with delight. As we chatted, the water began to bubble and foam. My mom pulled out a bottle of her favorite lavender soap and started to lather it up. \Let me wash your hair,\ she said, her hands moving deftly through my locks. I closed my eyes, feeling the gentle scrubbing and the soothing scent of the soap. As we sat there, the water started to get cold, but we didn't care. We were lost in our own little world, reliving memories and making new ones. Suddenly, my mom started to sing a soft, sweet melody. I joined in, our voices harmonizing together in perfect sync. The bathwater may have been cold, but our hearts were warm and full. As we rinsed off and got out of the tub, I turned to my mom and smiled. \This has been the best bath ever,\ I said, and she smiled back, her eyes twinkling with happiness. In that moment, I knew that this was a memory I would treasure forever.
